About the ball
The ball everything else gets measured against.
Three-piece urethane, a soft-but-solid feel, and greenside spin that makes chips check up instead of running out. Newest Gen is the latest model; Mixed is recent years at a lower price, same Pro V1 design.
What Near Mint means
Out of the sleeve, basically.
Mint balls have no visible marks, scuffs or discoloration. Most were hit once or twice before they found the water. Same flight, same spin, same feel as new. May carry a very minor pen mark (a dot, line or small logo).
Same flight. Smaller bill.
Near Mint balls may show a faint blemish, a logo mark or small pen marks. Nothing that damages the cover, nothing that changes how it flies.
Lived-in look. Same ball underneath.
Good balls carry scuffs, pen marks or discoloration. They still have the same core and cover, so they still spin. Made for practice, scrambles, water holes, new golfers, and trying a tour ball without paying for a new dozen.
