Is the Kirkland Signature ball as good as a Pro V1?
Both are three-piece urethane balls. How Costco's Kirkland Signature compares with the Titleist Pro V1 on feel, spin, consistency and price.

Kirkland Signature
Titleist Pro V1When Costco started selling a three-piece urethane golf ball under its Kirkland Signature label, golfers took notice. Here was a ball built like a tour ball for a fraction of the price. Years and several generations later, people still ask whether it holds up against the Pro V1.
What they share
Both are three-piece balls with urethane covers, the soft cover that grips a wedge and makes chips check up. That's the big thing most distance balls don't have, and it's why the Kirkland gets compared to tour balls at all.
Where they differ
- Generations. The Kirkland has changed over the years, and generations feel and fly differently. Ours are Performance+ and later, mixed. The Pro V1 is sold by generation, so you can pick Newest Gen or mixed recent years.
- Feel and flight. The Pro V1 has a soft-but-solid feel and a mid, penetrating flight.
- Availability. New Kirklands need a Costco membership and usually come in a two-dozen box. Used, you can buy one dozen.
- Price. The Kirkland is the cheapest way into a urethane ball. The Pro V1 costs more, used or new.
Which should you play?
Play the Kirkland if you want urethane spin on a budget, lose a few balls a round, or want a step up from a two-piece distance ball without paying tour prices.
Play the Pro V1 if you want the benchmark: a consistent, current-generation ball that flies and feels the same from box to box.
Kirkland in Pristine condition
We offer Kirkland in Pristine condition, which is Mint with nothing on it: no pen marks, no dots or lines, no logos. Clean enough to pass for a sleeve straight off the shelf. It also comes in Mint, in white or yellow.
The honest answer
For a lot of golfers, the Kirkland is plenty of ball. For players chasing consistency, the Pro V1 is still the standard. Buy a dozen of each and find out which one you are.
